Huawei Takes All: Tmall Broadcast Sales Top RMB100 Million

Electronics giant Huawei stole the show at shopping network, Taobao’s live ‘Tmall 618’ mid-year sales event. As well as being the first brand to broadcast this year, Huawei’s sales topped RMB100 million (over US$14 million) from this single event.

Another Chinese COVID-19 Detection Kit Is FDA-Approved

Beijing Panshengzi Gene Technology Company announced that its new coronavirus detection kit (Genetron SARS-CoV-2 RNA Test) is sanctioned for use under the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

Free Unmanned Taxi Rides In Guangzhou

Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom finally made its 5G network public on 30 June. As an incentive, the company’s currently offering early bird tariffs – starting at NT$599 (over US$20) per month for 24GB of data.
